Who says gravy can’t be healthy? This Paleo Gravy recipe packs all of the flavor of traditional gravy minus the dairy and gluten. It is thickened by the blending of onions and it’s richness comes from garlic and olive oil. You can put this stuff on anything for a flavor blast!
2 tablespoons Olive Oil
1 tablespoons Tamari (soy Sauce)
1/2 teaspoons Thyme, Dried
6 serving (1) Garlic Clove
2 serving (1) Yellow Onion
1 quarts Chicken Broth
1. Pour the broth, onions, garlic (peeled but not minced), and thyme into a medium saucepan and bring to a boil on high.
2. Then, lower the heat to low and let it simmer for ~30 minutes or until the onions and garlic are really soft. At this point, add
salt, pepper, and tamari to taste.
3. Finally, remove from heat and let cool for 5-minutes. Add 2tbs of olive oil. Pour everything into a blender and blend until
smooth. Reheat as needed and serve.
